Mission Statement

Preparing our students for life and learning.

Goals and Objectives 2007-2010

Goal 1: To enhance teaching and learning and improve student achievement and well being

  • Develop a K-12 support plan for students at risk academically, emotionally and socially.
  • Provide professional development across the curriculum that supports standards-based curriculum, differentiated instruction, and assesment.
  • Create and implement curriculum maps across the K-12 curriculum.

Goal 2: To increase community support for Palmer Public Schools

  • Increase student participation in community outreach activities.
  • Create a K-12 district council of representatives from all school support groups.
  • Institute a structure and process for public awareness of all school needs.
  • Enhance community service programs as a graduation requirement.

Goal 3: To upgrade and maintain the physical plants to provide safe, modern facilities for learning

  • Provide security for after school hours at the high school for school and community use.
  • Evaluate current and future facilities needs.
  • Assess and upgrade annually the preventative maintenance program for school facilities.

Goal 4: Maintain current and future integration of technology into all aspects of the school district

  • Integrate information technology and technology standards across the curriculum.
  • Assess and upgrade all technology resources on an annual basis.
  • Expand equal access to technology resources for all students and staff.
