Below is the schedule for this year’s MCAS testing. Students must complete all testing during the Administration Dates listed below. 7th grade students can only complete the Long Composition on either March 20th or April 2nd.
Thank you for your cooperation in making the MCAS testing as successful as possible. We believe your children are well prepared for the various MCAS tests, and we encourage them to take the testing seriously. Please help us at home by making sure your child gets a good night’s sleep before testing and eats a healthy breakfast. Thank you! |

During the Fall of 2006, the district analyzed the results of the 2006 Spring MCAS Testing. Based on this data analysis, CMS adopted the following goals into this year’s School Improvement Plan: · To increase students’ exposure to a deep understanding of mathematical symbolic notation. · To insure that all students are exposed to math instruction that includes all the mathematical frameworks for their respective grade levels so that they will answer 100% of all parts of a question. · To increase students’ specific and relevant details and word choice on open response questions in language arts so that students’ open response answers improve. · To increase students’ ability to answer multiple choice questions correctly by improving their understanding of vocabulary, common terminology, and rereading skills. |
