The Converse Middle School was built in 1923, with an addition made in 1963. There are currently 524 students in grades 5-7, with 48 professional staff and 28 support staff. The students of each grade level are divided into two teams, with each team consisting of a social study, language arts, math and a science teacher. There is also an Alternative Education team of 1 teacher and 1 paraprofessional. All students receive instruction in unified arts: music, art, physical education, health, and MCAS math. The school also has a full-time professional librarian, 8 special education teachers, 3 Chapter I remedial teachers, 2 guidance counselors, a speech teacher, and a full-time nurse. Band and chorus are offered to students of all grades.

Notice: Converse Middle School PTO meetings are held the first Monday of every month at 6:30 p.m. in the CMS library. All are welcome to attend.
